The Millennial Club releases sultry new ‘Coffee In The Morning’ track
Today, The Millennial Club (TMC for short) is ready to make you fall in love with their new single “Coffee In The Morning.” The SoCal indie-pop/R&B group offers a smooth and outstanding look at an almost ending relationship from both sides. The girl that also features on the track is and she adds such amazing vibes to the already sultry track. The band, which consists of middle school friends Owens, bassist/keyboardist Jared Ortiz, guitarist/saxophonist Jake Stevenson, and drummer Tyler Kamei, has come a long way from their school jazz band days, now earning over 2.6 million Spotify streams thus far.
In TMC’s own words from their press release, they say this of their new song:
“‘Coffee In The Morning’ is about the post-honeymoon stage of a relationship. It’s the struggle of feeling like you’re no longer connected the way you once hoped to be; it’s a response to society’s way of making us feel like, ‘If you’re not happy, then move on.’ The song personifies the notion that there are two ways to go about the struggle in a relationship: you can decide to walk away, or you can stick it out. The centerpiece of the song — ‘If it was easy, everyone would do it’ — is meant to affirm that everyone encounters hardships and ultimately, there’s reward in working through each other’s differences.”
“Coffee In The Morning” was mixed/mastered by Tiago D’errico andDevin Feldman and produced by TMC members Andres Owens and Jared Ortiz. This just the start and a first glimpse of what’s to come from the band’s sophomore EP due out in early 2020.
