Dumb preforms ‘Content Jungle’ live via Tapetown Sessions
“Tapetown Studio’s critically acclaimed Tapetown Sessions are back with a new installment. The series latest episode features Canadian post-punk band Dumb for their latest ‘live in studio’
Dumb themselves have released two full-length albums and a plethora of E.P.s and singles on the respected Mint Records. Their Show at Aarhus’ hippest venue, TAPE proved just that. You probably weren’t there – but Tapetown’s session hope to at least get ya close.
Tapetown Sessions have been a platform to grab bands passing through Aarhus to come in and perform live in a studio setting and leave something a little more permanent behind than a memory from those lucky enough to see a show. Tapetown is a fully-functional recording studio that focuses specifically on ‘Alternative’ music – beating the drum for the authentic, weird, heavy and/or analogue groups often on the fringe of the scene. The “live in studio” sessions are meant to showcase the artists, warts n’ all in exactly the way nature intended – no overdubs or magic tricks. Captain behind the controls though, Rasmus Bredvig oversees the expert capture of the moment with professional multi-track, real-time recording and mixing after the sessions are done and dusted. The tracks are simultaneously filmed multi-angle and expertly edited together with properly mastered audio.
